Important Rules & Compliance Standards

  • The central kitchen must operate according to the actual premises, product, process flow, ingredient, supplier, storage, handling, and distribution information submitted for halal review.
  • The company must provide accurate, complete, and current information about all raw materials, ingredients, processing aids, packaging materials, suppliers, products, recipes, and operations.
  • The company should establish and implement halal policy, halal responsibilities, Halal Committee arrangements, and relevant halal-control procedures according to the applicable requirements.
  • Only materials and suppliers approved through the company’s halal-control process should be used for the certified scope.
  • Changes to ingredients, suppliers, recipes, products, brands, premises layout, equipment, process flow, storage, packaging, or distribution may require internal review and may require notification or application to the relevant authority.
  • The central kitchen must maintain appropriate hygiene, sanitation, pest-control, waste-management, storage, temperature-control, cleaning, and cross-contamination prevention practices.
  • Products, ingredients, packaging, utensils, equipment, and storage areas must be properly identified, controlled, and handled to avoid halal risk.
  • The company should maintain complete records, including supplier documents, receiving records, stock records, production records, cleaning records, training records, internal-audit records, non-conformance records, and corrective-action records where applicable.
  • Halal certification for a central kitchen does not automatically cover every outlet, product, brand, warehouse, vehicle, catering activity, or additional premises unless they are included in the approved scope.
  • Halal certification is separate from food-premises licence, food-handler training, typhoid vaccination, MeSTI, GMP, HACCP, JAS/DOE, BOMBA, PBT, trademark, and other regulatory approvals.
  • This service does not guarantee halal-certification approval and does not include JAKIM/JAIN/MAIN fees, Halal Executive salary or appointment cost, laboratory testing, product analysis, audit fees, food-safety certification fees, renovation, equipment, pest control, travel, training venue, printing, or third-party charges unless specifically stated in the quotation.
